For more than 130 years, St. Mary’s Adoption Services has been committed to serving women and children throughout the Chicagoland area. As we watch the needs of our local community changing, we are dedicated to responding by giving women and children the opportunities they need to be healthy, to succeed, and to feel supported.

Beginning in October, our maternity program Hopeful Beginnings rolled out a significant increase in our free counseling options for expecting mothers. These pregnancy related services are offered at no charge, and are our seasoned professional leaders/facilitators have a heart for serving those who are pregnant and perhaps a bit overwhelmed or confused. We vow to treat you with care and with respect.
Our counseling services through Hopeful Beginnings cover:
- Pre-natal depression
- Post-partum depression
- Grief counseling
- Loss of pregnancy
- Options counseling
- Transitioning to motherhood
Let us walk with you and give you the tools you need to stay as healthy as possible. Hopeful Beginnings is growing, and we are proud of the opportunity to serve even more mothers in our area.
St. Mary’s Adoption Services, and Hopeful Beginnings, is also excited to offer extended educational and workshop events for the greater community. Join us for any of our upcoming workshops and leave feeling supported and empowered.
Our Parent Child Workshops are free of charge and open to any parent in the community with a child newborn to three years old. Our facilitators will have fun activities planned to give parents and children the chance to connect with one another. Held at Northwest Compass in Mt. Prospect, participants will also have access to the food pantry and other services offered on site.
Our Making Miracles Happen fundraiser gala is always a well-received event, and gives the greater community the opportunity to support the services that we offer. Join us on November 11 at Café La Cave for delicious food, friendly socialization, inspiration, and a silent auction. Help us continue to expand our services for those in our community!
Finally, our workshop Talking to Your Child About Adoption, is ideal for those who are struggling with knowing just how much to tell your child. Led by seasoned professionals, this workshop empowers parents while giving plenty of time to share with one another.
